Rogue Valley Group
Our company was established in July 2001 with the launch of our flagship web site, I Love Grants Pass.com (ILGP). Since the beginning our business has been about a passion for Southern Oregon, the Rogue Valley and more specifically Grants Pass. The very first incarnation of ILGP that wasn't labeled "coming soon" included local restaurant reviews, news items like Caveman football scores, opinion polls and a homemade message board. (Circa Sept. 29, 2001.) Promoting local business and furthering a positive image of our community is our mission.
By August 2003 we changed our name to Rogue Valley Group. Nine months later (May 2004) we joined the Grants Pass & Josephine County Chamber of Commerce and have been a member ever since.

Restaurant Coverage
One of the areas that has interested us since we first started has been promotion of local restaurants. Today this coverage includes the restaurant review database found on ILGP. Our database of over 110 active Grants Pass restaurants is the most complete, accurate and updated list found anywhere on the Internet. Restaurants in our database are the most frequently reviewed, too. Our coverage has earned us top placement in the search engines for Grants Pass Restaurant phrases.
Our local database features the most update-to-date coverage of Grants Pass restaurants that can be found anywhere. Thanks to ILGP members it is also the most frequently rated and reviewed.
To make our database as complete as possible, all restaurants are listed free of charge. Promotional upgrades are available for those restaurants wishing to capitalize on our search engine position to drive targeted traffic to their official sites.
Traffic And Readership Growth
Our Grants Pass web sites have experienced steady increases in "traffic" and "readership" over the last several years. We routinely set personal best all-time records on a monthly basis.
"Traffic" measures things like the number of visitors, page views and hits our sites receive.
"Readership" defines the number of unique visitors that visit our sites. Each visitor generally has a unique IP ADDRESS assigned to their computer.

Timothy Burleson Co-Owner, programmer, webmaster, hostmaster, technical support
Tim is proud to be a "native Oregonian" and, like you might have guessed, really loves Grants Pass! A certified nerd, he has been computer programming since 1977 and claims that he was surfing the net back before it had images, when it was only green glowing letters on a black CRT. He purchased his first domain name, Boomchild.com in August 1999. He specializes in Perl scripts and has a basic knowledge of PHP. He is also well-versed in MySQL databases, domain name management, hand crafting HTML that is 4.01 Transitional Compliant, use of Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) to support elegant and maintainable sites and designing HTML pages to be "search engine friendly." Recent updating of his skills includes learning how to develop XHTML 1.0 Transitional Compliant web pages and customizing web hosting environments with localized Apache directives.
Web-based applications written by Tim include: Full-featured e-commerce shopping cart software complete with credit cart payment processing, message board software, restaurant review software, guestbook with IP-based filtering, real estate listings, "Cyber Bowl" for Dutch Bros. Coffee and more.
Outside of the computer world Tim maintains an unnatural interest in local government, especially the City of Grants Pass. He attends all City Council meetings and writes stories about the City for the Grants Pass Climate web site.

Tammy Burleson Co-Owner, marketing, restaurants, customer service, sales
Tammy has been in Oregon since the age of seven and has lived in Grants Pass for over 25 years. A graduate of Grants Pass High School, class of 1983 (aka: Tammy Johnson), she has seen Grants Pass grow from a sleepy little town to a lively beautiful city. Throughout her years of living in Grants Pass, she has met and befriended many wonderful people.
Tammy's first job was at a lodge on the lower Rogue River. This started a career in the restaurant field of over 15 years working for other lodges, caterers, small café's and restaurants. Over the last 10 years she has worked in the medical field perfecting her customer service skills.
It is Tammy's main desire is to promote and support small local business owners. She is proud of the web sites her husband has created and looks forward to help making them grow. Her personal favorite is the Grants Pass Restaurant Guide though I Love Grants Pass.com. Her goal is to have the most extensive Southern Oregon Dining Guide and rating system on the web with a future dream of covering the entire state of Oregon. Tammy's main focus is aimed at helping restaurant owners to establish their very own web site. Another site close to her heart is Grants Pass Explorer, which will become a guide for Southern Oregon destinations starting in the heart of Grants Pass.
Off time, Tammy enjoys spending time with her husband and son and exploring the vast outdoors whether it's camping or fly fishing or seeing what's around the next bend.
